For industry

Your experience can inspire the next generation.

Every semiconductor professional is carrying something that would change a younger engineer's career if they heard it. Most of it never leaves the building. Come and say it out loud.

Two industry professionals in conversation at an exhibition stand

Who we want at the table

If you have spent time inside this industry, you qualify.

You do not need a title, a book or a keynote history. You need something you learned that somebody else has not yet.

Semiconductor executivesThe decisions behind the decisions, and what you would do differently.
Fab professionalsRamp curves, shift culture, the week everything went wrong and how it was recovered.
Equipment engineersThe craft of installing, qualifying and sustaining tools nobody outside sees.
Chip designersHow a design meets reality on a tester, and what you wish manufacturing knew.
Manufacturing & quality expertsYield, control, traceability, and the discipline that holds it together.
Researchers & academicsWhat is coming out of the lab, and what it will take to industrialise it.
EntrepreneursBuilding a semiconductor business in a market that rewards patience badly.
Policy leadersWhat the schemes were designed to do, and what the floor is telling you.

What to expect

One conversation, prepared properly, and nothing you did not agree to.

This is not a gotcha format. It is a conversation between two people who respect the subject, prepared in advance and edited with care.

  1. A short call first

Fifteen minutes to agree the subject, the boundaries and what you would rather not discuss. Commercially sensitive material stays out.

  2. Questions shared in advance

You see the shape of the conversation before it happens. No surprises, because surprises make people cautious and cautious makes dull.

  3. Recorded at your convenience

In person where that is easy, remotely where it is not, or alongside an event you are already attending.

  4. Review before publication

You see the edit. If something came out wrong or crossed a line you did not intend, it goes.

  5. Your work credited properly

Your organisation, your role, your projects, described the way you want them described.

Why bother

Because the person who needs your answer cannot get into your building.

India is trying to staff an industry it has never had at scale. The knowledge exists. It is just locked inside the people who have it.

Other ways to work together

Not everything has to be a recorded conversation.

Host a LIVE session

Bring Chip Chat LIVE to your campus, conference, plant or innovation centre. One table, one conversation, an audience that asks the last questions.

Advisory & due diligence

Facility planning, cleanroom readiness, tool-install strategy, Owner's Engineer, PMC and PMCM support, DPR and RFP review.

The advisory side

Back a skilling programme

Sponsor a cohort, host the mobile lab, or open your floor for a training visit through the Wafer on Wheels Semiconductor Foundation.

Share your story. Share what you learned. Say where this is going.

Your conversation could be the reason someone becomes a semiconductor engineer.
